About SFID

Society for Inclusive Development (SFID), is a non-profit making, non-political, socially responsible civil society organization founded to address the issues related to 5 E’s (Environment, Education, Energy, Entrepreneurship & Empowerment).  SFID is knowledge sharing initiative utilizing & leveraging each other strengths and working on Sustainable Developmental projects  & networking with ongoing Govt. Schemes, INGOs, grassroots NGOs/CSOs, Corporate world (under their CSR framework) and local communities with similar concerns and interests for the  socio-economic development of the region(s).


SFID is always concerned about poor rural and tribal community of Uttarakhand, Himachal-Pradesh, Rajasthan, UP West and North- Eastern regions and feel that due to its fragile geography and lower economic activities, new employment opportunities are not emerging and forcing male population to migrate to other cities in search of petty jobs.

SFID is committed to empower local communities by providing them employability skills and opportunities without disturbing our eco-systems, social fabrics and cultural tolerance and to check routine migration.

1. United National Global Compact (UNGC)

SFID is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and we are committed to the ten principles of the Compact which foster better corporate social responsibility in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Established in 1994, SFID has been committed and conscious for the betterment of under-privileged community at large.


SFID is member of TII (Transparency International is a Germany based Global Advocacy Organisation) and expressing commitment to fight corruption and promote transparency & accountability within and outside the organizations governance.


SFID is member of  Prestigious Business chamber and is in National Task Force member  for CSR Committee of PHD in the state of Uttarakhand for the promotion of CSR Education, Awareness and Capacity Building.



SFID is registered under Indian Society Act 1860 with Head office in Dehradun and all donations/grant are exempted under 80-G of Income Tax Act. We accept grant and donations to carry forward our holistic mission to empower grassroots and under-privileged communities in region
